On the way to work I got hit in the left eyeball by an ice pellet. You?

I did not endure any similar horrors to yourself. I like how we got about half an inch of snow and everyone in the city acts like its the apocolypse.
    Happy Valentine’s Day!
    Love, love, love.

we’ve got a sunny, but chilly, V-Day here in the SF Bay Area

The inside of my right knee felt like about 50 teeny tiny fists punched it with nails at about 8:30 this morning as I crossed Vanderbilt Ave. Ouch!!!

  4. Sylvie

I enjoyed watching cars behind me dodge 1 sq foot chunks of ice flying off the roof of my Element.

Damn Sylvie! I’m impressed that you can drive while looking in the rear-view mirror :)

Maggie and I had some laffs this morning watching huge SUVs spin their tires trying to escape the massive SIX INCH snow drifts on the street. Perhaps our hood needs a quick tutorial on the 4 wheel drive feature of today’s modern luxury SUVs.

are you sure it wasn’t beer?

  7. mattbot

No my friend, it was most definitely NATURAL ICE.

  8. ScatASStic

    wow, well played.

Do you think we’ll all still smile and laugh in 20 years when the Natty comes up in conversation?

More importantly, will it? If not, I may go kill myself right now.

Tell you what, TB: I’ll cellar a case of Natty Ice and we can break it out in 2027 and talk about the way things USED to be while we watch old Eustachy vids on YouTube 7.0.

Also, there will be lawn chairs.

i know this is off topic, but I had to get it out there. maybe if sheala still had a blog it could go there. This American Life had a story feb. 2 called Houses of Ill Repute. one of the stories, called It’s Not a Crack House, It’s a Crack Home is about a house in bushwick. just thought sheala might like to hear a story about her ‘hood. It can be found (and heard) at http://www.thisamericanlife.org.

YES! I think Maggie and I listened to this yesterday (I was half listening). Is that the story with a part about booby-trapping light bulbs to prevent theft?

Btw, an unintended consequence of this blog not having any topic is that it’s impossible to make an off-topic comment!
