Item! Maggie went to see Angela Lansbury’s new play Deuce last night, which is in previews. I don’t want to spoil what could be a potentially great post on her blog, but her succinct review of the old dame’s latest is worth repeating: "a real stinker."

    In all fairness, Angela Lansbury & Marian Seldes were amazing…they just had some truly rotten material to work with.

    And, if anyone’s wondering, these sorts of events are the reason the ol’ blog is suffering from a severe absence of updates…sorry!

    If only. It’s the other plays that sell me on the city, to be honest. Angela Lansbury is phenomenal, though. If only she had been given something to work with….like a solid song to belt out or just one sentence that meant something. Instead…Deuce.
