My e-Communities reading for this week says that being open and asking questions is the best way to grow an online community. Let’s keep it simple: what are you up to this weekend?

siverson is visiting courtesy of the good people at Amtrak for a weekend retreat and content caucus with 60% of The Content Webring. We will be discussing high-level strategic initiatives regarding TCW’s newest content venture, nohelpdesk.org. We’ll be brewing beer Saturday: the first (and last? Shit.) INFOBREW: Information as Beer. It’ll be fun.

    On Saturday I have to cover the big annual tramppoline and tumbling meet in Iowa Falls, in addition to the North Central Conference wrestling meet.

    Then I’m going home to hang myself.

    On Saturday, I’ll be spending an exciting 8 hours in the DIAD learning JavaScript and Perl. The rest of the weekend will be consumed with schoolwork that I should have done last week.

    I hope I won’t be vacuuming all weekend, but I don’t have any other firm plans yet. I may go to the post office tomorrow morning. My life is exciting, I know. Don’t be jealous, y’all.

    Well, folks. I’ll be living it up a little later this evening w/Mmes. Hansen & Albrecht…at some lower east side dive TBA. I hear Mssrs. Iversys, Oculon, and Mattbot are livin’ it up at Arbor Brewing Company…in anticipation of, well…doing some brewing of their own. Later this weekend, you ask? I have a standing brunch date w/previously mentioned girls on Sunday…plus possible addition of an old Grinnell friend who I just saw for the first time in 4 years earlier this week!

    Saturday plans? Crying my eyes out for TB3 for several hours and then spending every waking moment for the rest of the day devising a get-the-hell-out-of-the-WC strategy!

    The only thing I have planned for this weekend is to finish downloading FLACs of two “Weird Al” Yankovic bootlegs I found on some file-sharing website this afternoon. How fuckin’ sad is THAT?!

    This weekend will be the first rehearsals for the SPT Theatre show coming up in a few weeks. Definitely more fun than running the vacuum, but beer is a close call.
