Bracketbot submits sublimely spineless pix
Thursday, March 16th, 2006For those interested, take a gander at my picks for the 2006 NCAA tournament [pdf].
If I had to characterize these picks as a politician, they would be some amalgam of Dennis Hastert and Paul Pate: risk averse and remarkably dull. I abandoned my UNI upset from earlier this week, and had a hell of time figuring out a way that UConn didn’t win it all.
Let me go on record saying that should there be a Duke-UConn final as I predict, I will go against my pick and root for the asteroid instead.
CBS’s March Madness on Demand is leaving a lot to be desired — choppy video (when it hasn’t dropped off entirely) and a limited set of games make the product just barely worth the price of admission. And for the fans of worthless but endearing features, yes, there is a Boss Mode.

First place in the SI pool after day one, looking to repeat as champion again.
Kids, my continued success just goes to show that when you work hard, anything can happen. You gotta stay hungry to stay at the top of your game.

shiz… what if I have a mac? My boss will NOT be fooled!
btw… Adam Dunn says you were a fool not to pick him in the first round. Your FBB dominance will end this year

sports never make me want to cry. sports never want me to hit things. this is the first time i have pulled out my bracket or thought about the dreamy long drinks of water since friday afternoon. drink count for the hours between 1130 and 3? 8. i think that everyone has since lost the city-wide pool on this side of the world. what an upset.

Yeah, I sat and stared at Boss Mode for a long time after that shot went in.
Adam Dunn, like Keith Foulke before him, is Anarchybot refuse. April’s his best month, fyi.
